FAVORITE SPOT TO FIND INSPIRATION
Venice remains not only one of the world’s most shockingly beautiful cities but also at the cutting edge of visual technology. Just as in the Renaissance (when artists there pioneered the mathematics and practical application of 3-D perspective, thus changing plastic space as we know it), current exhibitions and research associated with the Biennale are recognizing and pushing the boundaries of computer-generated aesthetics. We had the pleasure of working with the Fondazione Bevilacqua La Masa (in Piazza San Marco) during the 2017 Biennale, lending several pieces to “Algorithmic Signs,” a five-person show curated by Dr. Francesca Franco.
