“I’m a creature of habit, so my go-tos are Via Carota and any of Keith McNally’s joints. My new favorite in DUMBO is Celestine—amazing food and wine list, and the view of the Brooklyn Bridge is off the charts. Red Hook in Brooklyn, where my home and studio are, is filled with so many amazing spots, like Fort Defiance and classics like Sunny’s Bar and Hometown Bar-B-Que—the best I’ve had. My favorite museums outside the city are Dia:Beacon (the collection is impeccable and the architecture is perfect) and the Magazzino Italian Art museum in Cold Spring. They are both so worth the trip. And in the city: The Whitney, and of course the Guggenheim—for the genius architecture alone, designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. Lastly, I’m excited to about The Shed at Hudson Yards.”
