In order to give you the best of London, Whitewaller spoke with Artist Nick Hornby.
FAVORITE SPOT TO FIND INSPIRATION
Without hesitation, my favorite spot is the Victoria and Albert Museum. It’s like a Google image search of Renaissance sculpture, but in the flesh. A sculptor’s dream resource. If you visit, I beg you to find Cornelia Parker’s “Breathless.” And I live in West London, so I love Frestonian Gallery, which opened last year and shows 20th century and contemporary art.
BEST KEPT SECRET IN LONDON
I’m also a foodie. Near the fair is this pop-up restaurant that I love called Carousel, and there’s Portland and Clipstone. I’ve always been a fan of Mazi, and Chucs for weekend brunch. Evenings, if you have time, go to Flat Three, Assaggi, or Chepstow Place. Other shout outs: Trullo and its little sister Padella, Brasserie of Light at Selfridges, The Palomar for counter dining, and a romantic dinner at Andrew Edmonds.
