Detroit has always been about artists transforming their surroundings, going back to the jazz age.

When it comes to the physical landscape, I love to pop by the mid-century architectural gems throughout the city, like Mies Van der Rohe's Lafayette Park. I grew up going to the DIA, and William-Adolphe Bouguereau's "Nut Gatherers" feels like I've come home, before entering the tremendous Rivera Court.
