The first West Coast presentation of “Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love” highlights the career of the Black fashion designer.

The first West Coast presentation of “Patrick Kelly: Runway of Love” highlights the career of the Black fashion designer at de Young museum through April 24, 2022. First organized by the Philadelphia Museum of Art, the exhibition features nearly 80 of Kelly’s designs along with a selection of fashion show footage and imagery. Viewers at the space will experience a testament to the designer’s groundbreaking practice and bold messages of Black empowerment through thematic sections including those focusing on Kelly’s influences, heritage, childhood memories, and experiences in club and gay culture.
Hayal Pozanti’s “Lingering” is the artist’s response to worries surrounding artificial intelligence and digital media.
